The Mary Kay Foundation Privacy Policy
The Mary Kay Foundation (“the Foundation”) has created this Privacy
Policy to explain why we collect particular information and how we will protect
your personal privacy within our Web site. The following discloses our
information gathering and dissemination practices for the Web site located at
the URL www.marykayfoundation.org. Our Privacy Policy only applies to
information collected via this Web Site.
The Foundation reserves the right at any time and without notice to
change this Privacy Policy by posting any changes on our site. All policies and
changes will be effective immediately upon posting.
What Information We Collect and How We Use That Information
Personal Information
This Web site does not directly
collect any personal information. Our online
donation registration form is powered by a third party provider that processes
your donation and generates and sends you a receipt. The third party provider shares your donation
information with the Foundation via secured link but the Foundation only
retains your name, address, donation amount, and the last four digits of your
credit card number. The Foundation uses
this information to maintain its donor database and to answer any questions a
donor may have regarding his or her online donation.
Internet
Protocol Address
We collect an Internet Protocol (“IP”) address from all visitors to our site.
An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer when
you use the Internet. We use IP addresses to help diagnose problems with our server,
administer our site, analyze trends, track users’ movement, gather broad
demographic information for aggregate use in order for us to improve the site,
and deliver customized, personalized content. IP addresses are not linked to
personally identifiable information.
Cookies
A cookie is a small text file that
can be stored on your computer's hard drive. When you view the Site, some
information in the form of a "cookie" may be automatically stored on
your computer. This allows us to tailor the Site to your specific interests and
preferences. If you want to disable these cookies, most Internet Browsers will
allow you to delete cookies from your computer hard drive, prevent them from
being stored or signal a warning before a cookie is stored. You should refer to
your Browser instructions or help screen to learn more about these functions.
Collection of Information by
Third Party Providers
The Foundation may offer features
that are powered by identified third parties. By virtue of the services they
provide, these third parties may obtain personally identifiable information
that visitors voluntarily submit to take advantage of the features offered on
the Foundation’s Web site. Such third parties are required to protect this
information in a manner that is consistent with this Privacy Policy by, for
example, not using the information for any purpose other than to carry out the
services they are providing for the Foundation.
Security
Data security is important to the Foundation and we have industry-leading
technology in place to ensure any personal information you voluntarily submit
is safe including secure sockets layer (SSL) technology to protect the storage
and transfer of your personal information. We also use digital secure server
identification from Verisign to provide you with the best protection technology
on the Internet. Visitor information is stored in secured databases and is
protected from unauthorized access.

Our site contains links to other web sites. Please note that when you click on
one of these links, you are entering another web site for which the Foundation
has no responsibility. We encourage you to read the privacy statements on all such
sites as their policies may be different than ours.
